However, the challenges of the digital era, shifting patterns of information consumption, and demands for accountability necessitate a transformation in library management. This paper explores the application of the Data-Driven Decision Making (DDDM) approach in the management of IHEI libraries. Through a conceptual framework and literature review, this study analyzes how data related to user behavior, collection circulation, digital service utilization, and academic needs can serve as the basis for more objective, adaptive, and needs-oriented decision-making processes. DDDM promotes a paradigm shift in library management from reactive to proactive, integrating information technology into evaluation and strategic planning processes. Findings indicate that the implementation of DDDM can enhance service effectiveness, collection relevance, user engagement, and support IHEIs' vision of producing academically and spiritually excellent graduates. This article also proposes implementation strategies, including the strengthening of library information systems, data literacy training for librarians, and the integration of libraries into digital academic systems. Therefore, data-based transformation becomes a crucial foundation for strengthening sustainable and future-oriented library management.
Rhoni Rodin, Hamengkubuwono Hamengkubuwono, Irwan Fathurrochman, Jumira Warlizasusi Copyright (c) 2026 Corolla International Conference https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/79 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 From Blackboard to Bot: The Evolution of English Language Teaching with Artificial Intelligence https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/80
This study shows that the development of technology and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) specifically have a positive impact on students. We present a novelty-aware hybrid recommender that linearly combines ItemKNN, content-based similarity, popularity signals, and lightweight SVD factors. We further introduce a user-specific novelty term derived from popularity and recency to encourage discovery. To avoid overfitting and maintain interpretability, we adopt local fine-tuning around a near-optimal trade-off rather than global re-optimization. First, we conduct a before and after evaluation using rank-aware metrics (NDCG@10, MRR@10, Precision@10, Recall@10). Then, we measure list-level properties such as novelty with respect to popularity, intra-list diversity by genre dissimilarity, and catalog coverage. Finally, we present a separate experiment using Maximal Marginal Relevance (MMR) re-ranking applied to ItemKNN to situate our contributions within classical diversification. On MovieLens-100K dataset, the locally fine-tuned hybrid preserves ranking accuracy while improving novelty and coverage: relative to the best trade-off baseline, NDCG@10 differs by less than 0.2% absolute on validation and test, while novelty increases modestly and coverage rises by approximately 1.7% on the test split. The MMR variant increases intra-list diversity by approximately 2-3 percentage points on validation with only a slight reduction in NDCG, illustrating a well-controlled accuracy diversity trade-off that complements the hybrid approach. These findings show that carefully designed novelty terms and restrained local fine-tuning can yield measurable gains in novelty and coverage without sacrificing ranking quality, while classical diversification provides an additional, orthogonal mechanism to further increase intra-list diversity. We provide transparent, metrics-based evaluation and reporting of novelty, diversity, and catalog coverage.
Muhammad Fatkhur Rizal, Triyanna Widiyaningtyas, Salahudin Robo, Rahmawati Febrifyaning Tias, Erfan Ainul Yakin, Meriana Wahyu Nugroho Copyright (c) 2026 Corolla International Conference https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/82 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Data-Driven Social Marketing for Health Education: Predicting Low-Sugar Consumption Intentions with HBM and TPB among Indonesian University Students https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/83
This study investigates determinants of university students’ intentions to shift from high-sugar to low-sugar products in Indonesia using an integrated Health Belief Model (HBM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. The background to this research stems from the gap between the national zakat potential of Rp 327 trillion and the current realization around12.5%, partly due to the low public understanding and accessibility of the digital zakat system. Given the characteristics of Generation Z, who tend to prefer short, interactive content that is easily accessible via mobile devices, microlearning is considered an appropriate learning strategy. The study used a mixed methods approach with explanatory sequential design and a Design-Based Research (DBR) framework to develop and test a prototype of microlearning-based zakat education content. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with 300 quantitative respondents and in-depth interviews with 30 qualitative respondents. The results showed that microlearning design significantly influenced digital zakat literacy (β = 0.612), user engagement (β = 0.348), and behavioral intention (β = 0.187). User engagement served as an important mediator in strengthening the relationship between digital zakat literacy and online zakat payment intention. The tested structural model was able to explain 60.3% of the variance in behavioral intention and 40.2% of the variance in actual digital zakat usage. These findings confirmed that interactive microlearning strategies, such as gamification and personalized content, can increase digital zakat adoption. Focusing on Bengkulu City, Indonesia, the research combines remote sensing analysis with digital pedagogy to provide a spatiotemporal view of changes in the mangrove ecosystem. Multi-temporal satellite data from 1995, 2005, 2015, and 2025 were analyzed using Random Forest classification to identify patterns of mangrove loss, stability, and regrowth. The findings indicate a 57.3% decline in mangrove vegetation cover from 1995 to 2025, with some recovery observed after 2015 due to local restoration efforts. By integrating GIS, the spatial data was transformed into an interactive digital module that allows learners and community members to explore climate-related changes more intuitively. Evaluation of the module revealed an average learning improvement of 25%, particularly in spatial reasoning and understanding of climate-ecosystem relationships. The results demonstrate that converting ecological data into digital educational media can connect scientific knowledge with public awareness, positioning mangrove monitoring as both a conservation initiative and a tool for climate-resilient education.
Abditama Srifitriani, Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati, Sri Puryono Copyright (c) 2026 Corolla International Conference https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/89 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Digital Hate Narratives: A Pragmatic Study of Insulting Comments across Social Media https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/90
This study investigates the pragmatic strategies used by netizens to construct insulting comments across three major social media platforms: Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. Employing a qualitative research design, the study analyzes 60 publicly available comments collected from viral posts related to public figures and controversial topics. Using theoretical frameworks from speech act theory, impoliteness theory, and Gricean pragmatics, the research identifies multiple forms of verbal aggression, including bald-on-record insults, sarcasm, mock politeness, and presupposition-based attacks. The findings reveal that each platform exhibits distinct patterns of linguistic hostility shaped by its design, user culture, and interactional norms. Facebook fosters extended and confrontational discourse, TikTok promotes brief and performative sarcasm, while Instagram favors stylized and indirect expressions. Additionally, the study demonstrates that insults in digital contexts function not only as expressions of offense but also as performative acts of identity, judgment, and group alignment. This research contributes to digital pragmatics by showing how classical linguistic theories operate in technologically mediated environments. Feedback is widely recognized as an integral component of the teaching and learning process because it provides students with direction, correction, and encouragement that support both academic and personal development. Through feedback, students gain opportunities to reflect on their performance, identify areas for improvement, and reinforce their understanding of learning materials. This research employs a literature study approach by reviewing recent scholarly works, journal articles, and books published within the last five years that discuss the implementation of feedback in higher education, with specific attention to IRE courses. The findings of the review reveal that feedback, when delivered in a timely, specific, and constructive manner, positively influences student motivation, enhances engagement, and contributes significantly to knowledge retention. Furthermore, both formative and summative feedback strategies are shown to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding and support the achievement of intended learning outcomes. The study also emphasizes the crucial role of lecturers in designing effective feedback mechanisms, as the quality of feedback often determines the extent to which it can foster deeper learning. In conclusion, feedback functions not only as an evaluative instrument but also as a pedagogical strategy that can optimize learning and improve academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education courses in higher education.
Iwan Kurniawan. On the other hand, research on teaching creative writing using flipped classroom is lacking for working students. The following gaps are intended to be filled by this paper: the need for a suitable framework for using flipped classroom to scaffold creative writing for working students. When compared to earlier times, students who work today have quite diverse traits, and as a result, their expectations have changed. As a result, using flipped classroom to pique students' interest and enthusiasm in learning activities is quite challenging nowadays. Furthermore, using flipped classroom to solve specific teaching and learning issues is interesting. In this sense, modern educators are very interested in cutting-edge teaching strategies in creative writing that cater to the demands of the modern world and the needs of their students. The flipped classroom model is one of those innovative learning strategies.
Yeni Probowati Copyright (c) 2026 Corolla International Conference https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/98 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Developing a Conceptual Framework of Parental Involvement, Student Attitudes, Institutional Policies, and Academic Success in Islamic Religious Education https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/99
This research aims to construct a conceptual model by testing influential relationships among parental engagement, Students’ attitudes towards Islamic religious learning, school policies, and student academic achievement. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of Google Earth as a GIS-based learning medium in improving students' understanding of regional concepts and spatial planning skills at State Senior High School 2 Bengkulu. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research population consisted of all Grade XI Social Studies students, with a sample of 38 students in the experimental class and 37 students in the control class. The experimental class was given Google Earth-based geography lessons to identify, analyse, and digitise spatial features, including land use, administrative boundaries, road networks, and settlement distribution. The control class followed conventional lessons using printed maps and textbooks. Data were collected through spatial thinking ability tests, map digitisation assignment results, and classroom observations, then analysed using an independent sample t-test to compare the learning outcomes of the two groups. The results showed that the average spatial thinking ability score of students in the experimental class was 87.3, while that of the control class was 74.1, with a p-value = 0.002, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. In addition, approximately 82% of students in the experimental class gave positive responses, rating this media as Very High in improving concept understanding and learning engagement. These findings confirm that GIS-based learning is effective in improving students' understanding of regional concepts, spatial thinking skills, geospatial literacy, and digital skills. The research results also emphasise the need to integrate geospatial technology into the geography curriculum and teacher training so that learning is more contextual, interactive, and relevant to the needs of the 21st century.
Supriyono Supriyono, Dedi Guntar, Mirna Yunita, Abditama Srifitriani, Zumkasri Zumkasri, Muhammad Aliman, Barbara Gomes Flaire Jordão Copyright (c) 2026 Corolla International Conference https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/107 Sat, 31 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Based Model for Detecting Dyslexia Using Handwritten Images https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/110
This study aims to identify dyslexia in elementary school students through handwriting analysis. Dyslexia, which is often detected late, can affect students' academic abilities, especially in reading and writing. Given the importance of early detection, this study explores the use of handwriting as an indicator for the early diagnosis of dyslexia in elementary school-aged children. The methods used in this study included collecting data from writing assignments given to students, where the quality of handwriting was measured based on several variables: legibility, writing speed, letter reversal, and spacing between letters. The collected data were then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches to compare the handwriting characteristics of dyslexic students with those of non-dyslexic students. The results of the analysis showed that students with dyslexia exhibited deficits in legibility and writing speed, and were more likely to reverse letters or be inconsistent in letter formation, in line with previous findings in the relevant literature (Van Heuverswyn et al., 2024; Patil et al., 2024). This study confirms that handwriting analysis can be an effective screening tool for detecting dyslexia at the elementary school level, and the results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more effective early detection methods in elementary schools in Indonesia.
Dian Mustika Maya, Winda Ade Ariani, Elviza Diana, Yessi Marita Copyright (c) 2026 Corolla International Conference https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/110 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Career Planning for Malay Culture Students through the Student Career Planning Application (APKAS) https://www.yayasancec.or.id/cfc2.yayasancec.or.id/index.php/intc/article/view/111
Technological developments certainly have an impact on student career planning, based on the results of observations and interviews, it is still found that students have not prepared their career planning thoroughly; so far students' career planning has been using a manual system.
